Reena Oettinger - President

Reena began her financial planning career in 1991. Since the beginning of her career, Reena has consistently been recognized as a top producer, earning the President's Club designation and various other accolades.  She has thoroughly enjoyed her profession.  She chose this career because she enjoys meeting people and helping them in achieving their financial goals. A key to her success is the exceptional service she and her staff provide to clients.

 She is energetic and enthusiastic and will go to great lengths to get the answers to a client's questions. She has a diversified client base including corporations, closely held businesses, individuals, trusts, estates, 401(k) plans, and 403(b) plans.  

Reena earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from George Mason University in 1988.  She holds the FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative), 24 (General Securities Principal), 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State) & 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser) registrations as well as a Life and Health insurance license. She is actively involved in various charitable organizations.  She lives in Ocean Pines, MD with her husband, Jim and daughter, Allie.  She enjoys reading, gardening, traveling and spending time at their second home in Miami, FL.


David F. Platt - Associate Vice President

 David graduated from North Virginia Community College with an Associates of Science degree.  He spent the first half of his professional life with a nationwide fleet leasing company, where he quickly advanced from an entry level position to management.  In 1990 he accepted a position as a financial advisor with Legg Mason in McLean, VA and moved to Old Dominion Investment Corp. in 1997. He is FINRA Series 7 (General Securities Representative), 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State) & 65 (Uniform Investment Adviser) registered.  He also has a life and health insurance license.  He helps small businesses and high net-worth individuals manage their assets.



Kristi F. Connell - MBA, CFP®

Kristi is a graduate of the University of Alabama, where she earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in public relations and Spanish and a graduate from Salisbury University, where she earned a Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA) before entering financial services. She joined Old Dominion Investment Corp. in 2007.  Her primary responsibilities include performing customized, comprehensive, personal financial planning for clients comprised of tax-advantaged portfolio management, estate, tax, and retirement planning.  She has stayed current in her profession by participating in continuing education classes.

Kristi is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional, Registered Investment Advisor Representative (FINRA Series 66 registered), Registered Securities Representative (FINRA Series 7 registered) and is licensed in Maryland, Delaware and Virginia for Life, Health and Variable Contracts of Insurance. 

For recreation, Kristi enjoys running, traveling, reading and spending time at the beach. Kristi, her husband John, and their son Kaeden and their daughter Brinkley, reside in West Ocean City, Maryland.

Michelle Hicks - Non-Registered Sales Assistant

Michelle has been working as a Sales Assistant in our office for the past 10+ years, prior to that she has worked in Sales/Customer Service and as an Adminstrative Assistant for more that 20 years.  She enjoys helping people and interacting with clients.  She is self-motivated and eager to learn new things.  She ensures that our office runs smoothly and our clients are taken care of in a prompt professional manner.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and family.  She also enjoys home improvement projects, gardening, painting, crocheting and reading.



Sharon Lloyd - Administrative Assistant

Sharon has worked in the business world for 38 years. Her experience includes work in the banking, real estate, and government sectors. She also managed the family business for 13 years. She is a real “people person” and enjoys working with clients, to ensure prompt and professional service.

In Sharon's spare time she enjoys everything the Eastern Shore has to offer, from crabbing, fishing, and boating with her husband of thirty two years, to relaxing while working in her garden.
